Professional Meetings (Attend 4 meetings per semester)
Expectations for the Members and Candidates
Professional meetings develop your professional business skills and professional networks. Candidates and Members are expected to attend at least 4 professional meetings every semester (4 hours).
With-Our-Chapter Professional Events
There are a variety of organizations that offer professional development meetings that qualify.
- Beta Alpha Psi Chapter Meetings
- Accounting Club @ UCA
- Business and Information Technology Club (BIT)
- Finance Department
On Your Own (Non-BAP) Professional Hours
You can also get some of your 4 your professional hours with other organizations as well. These are called non-BAP professional hours. Here is what you need to know:
- Focus on networking with business professionals and/or development of business skills.
- You are limited to 5 hours (250 minutes) per year
- To claim these hours, you must complete the non-BAP hours declaration form.
- This can be activities you do with other organizations not listed above.
Service Activities (6 hours per semester)
Expectations for the Members and Candidates
Service Activities give you the opportunity to give back to your community and develop your own skills such as communication, teamwork, compassion, creativity, and more.
With-Our-Chapter Service Activities
BAP offers several service opportunities per semester.
On Your Own (Non-BAP) Service Hours
You can also get some of your service hours serving organizations of your choosing. These are called non-BAP service hours. Here is what you need to know:
- This time should focus on serving not-for-profit organizations or other causes in need.
- You are limited to 5 hours (250 minutes) per year
- To claim these hours, you must complete the non-BAP hours declaration form.
- This can be activities you do with other organizations.
